Pulaski Town Council Appoints New Manager
The Pulaski Town Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. D. Todd Day as its new Town Manager.
The Council announced the hiring at its meeting tonight after approving an employment agreement with Mr. Day.
Mr. Day currently resides in Tazewell, Virginia, and last served as Town Manager of the Town of Tazewell for over eleven years. Previously he served as the Town Manager of the Town of Bluefield, Virginia, and prior to that, he was the Town Engineer/Public Works Director for Bluefield.
Mayor Shannon Collins said, "I'm very happy to welcome Mr. Day to our town and look forward to working with him to continue the progress and improvements started by our previous Town Manager. Pulaski is an Amazing Town and I know he will feel right at home in no time at all!!
The Town Council conducted a national search for the new Town Manager, assisted by The Berkley Group of Bridgewater, Virginia. The Berkley Group received applications and conducted initial interviews with the most qualified candidates. It then assisted with selecting finalists for interviews with Council.
Mr. Day holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from King University; a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Bluefield State College; and an Associate's Degree in Civil Engineering from Central Virginia Community College.
Mr. Day said, "I am humbled to have been selected to serve as Pulaski's next Town Manager. It is my objective to work with staff to continue the progress that has obviously been set in place and also work with the Pulaski team to charter new ideas and accomplishments for the best interest of Pulaski."
Mr. Day will assume his duties as Pulaski Town Manager on February 1, 2024.
