Senior Center Celebrates an Old Friend's Birthday
The Senior Center has been busier than ever as of late, constantly adding in new and engaging activities to keep members entertained and coming back for more. But even with all of the new activities, they still like to make time to visit old friends and make special memories.
Today, July 29th, is a very special date for one lady local to Pulaski. Betty Quesenberry, a longtime member of the Pulaski Senior Center and former teacher in our area is celebrating her 85th birthday! As mentioned, Betty has been attending the Senior Center for well over 20 years, becoming an integral part of the community there. While she isn't able to attend much nowadays, she still makes it a point to check in on her fellow members, often calling for a chat when she can.
Amy Hopkins, Senior Center Director wanted to make it a point to visit this wonderful woman for the big occasion. "Mrs. Quesenberry is a longtime veteran of the Pulaski Senior Center, and we wanted to take this chance to celebrate her life and accomplishments alongside her and her daughter, Teresa Talbert". They brought along several other members of the Senior Center, and the end result was a big birthday smash. Mrs. Talbert hosted the party herself; she wanted to celebrate the long and eventful life of her mother alongside all of her wonderful friends. After much catching up, eating of cake and general celebration, Mrs. Quesenberry opened a few gifts and thanked everyone who came out to see her. The Town of Pulaski would like to wish her a Happy Birthday and another year of prosperity and health!
